Taroko Gorge/Hualien/Lantern Festivalz

Sup dudez.

It has been a month since I last wrote on here!?! How is that even possible! It feels like my last post was written more like 2 days ago. I can't believe time is flying by that fast O_O

Now to business.

Two weekends ago me and my classmate decided to go on a trip during our break between terms. Hence, we went up to Northeastern Taiwan's Taroko Gorge. I went there in 2011 also but it was as amazing as I remembered.

After waking up 5:30 on Friday morning we headed off by bus and train to the Hualien area. Once we got there we found our hostel, ate, and then rented a scooter. The rest of that day was spent inside the park seeing all the awesome sights. It was amazing this time around since I saw it by scooter (last time was by Taxi). Also, thanks Theresia for driving the scooter the entire time since I am incapable. Anyways, yes, we explored the park for the rest of the day and then when we were heading back down to our hostel it started raining on us U_U and, surprisingly, there was not a 7-11 within the National Park ><

Well, the next day we got up and explored the park once again. This time I saw something new. It was a waterfall and it was beautiful.... just wait for pics. Oh, and I also want to mention. This time around it was not burning hot and it was also literally just us two inside the park (NO PEOPLE).

What else?

Yes, we also went inside the city of Hualien and looked around the night markets there. It was at this point that we were grateful to live within the Feng Chia Night Market. Cause lemme tell you, there were not a lot of food options and also the clothes they were selling looked hideous. I have a pic of one of the night markets that I will put up...... once again, no people O_O.

We also sat by the ocean by one of the night markets and chatted for a while to pass the time. It was so nice to be by the ocean. Stupid Utah got none. ;)

Ya, that was about it. We came back and started school again. I am now in Level 5 (of 8 levels) and my Chinese is coming along (compared to when I was in Level 1 in 2011).

Also, within these weekz I went to a few lantern festivals (one in Taichung and one in Hsinchu). They were gr8 and I am going to put pics down.

Also, my parents are coming!!! And I am excited! TOO EXCITED!!! I am not sure what they are going to think of Taiwan but I hope they love it >< I will give them lots of food to eat.

Lastly, I just finished the most amazing Taiwanese drama in the world. THE END.
